Why Choose Pulse Racing Thoroughbreds?

Success

We work hard in pursuing high quality and reasonably priced racehorses trained by top trainers bought with the intention of maximising success on the track. Pulse Racing is currently leading the industry in syndicated runners to winners.

Involvement

Pulse Racing owners are the most involved owners in racing. This comes through cutting edge correspondence and two-way communication that entrenches owners in every step of their horse’s racing career.

Cost

We believe that a top-class racing experience shouldn’t have to come at a premium cost to owners. Pulse Racing charges the lowest management fee in the industry, doesn’t take a proportion of owners prize money and also doesn’t believe the owner should have to pay any unnecessary adds-ons with the purchase price of the horse.

 FAQs

  • The Pulse Racing team, alongside our Bloodstock agent Dave Mee (Pinhook Bloodstock), have a very thorough and extensive selection process.

In order to maximise the quality of our purchases, our selection process beings months before the sales with a significant proportion of inspections occurring on stud farms. At the sale, these inspections continue until we have narrowed down a boutique shortlist from over a thousands of horses.

Before these horses enter the sale ring, they are vetted by our team of expert veterinarians and a budget is set as to what we think each horse is worth.

This thorough selection process ensures value is maximised with the horses we buy.

  • We have a very strict criteria, based on their ability to satisfy the needs of our owners.

Firstly, we take into account the results of their operation and their training ability. In this way, evaluating whether they will be able to provide the horse with best possible care to reach its greatest potential.

Secondly, our trainers must share our “customer centric” approach and be able to prioritise the needs of owners. Meaning trainers that are approachable and provide regular and honest communication of your horse throughout its career.

  • This will vary based on the trainer and their location. Whilst, the monthly bill can fluctuate based on the amount of time your horse spends in work.

However, generally for a City Trainer averaged throughout the year, you can expect to pay approximately $45 per week for a 5% share. Whilst for a country/provincial trainer this can vary between $25-$35 per week for a 5% share.

  • As much as possible! We work with trainers who have an open stable policy and encourage you to see your horse in the flesh as much as possible. In addition to this, we organise regular stable visits to see your horse complete track work and speak directly to your trainer.

  • No! Pulse Racing has the lowest costs in the industry and believes owners should not have to incur big margins or unnecessary costs such as “sale costs” or “advertising costs” that should be taken on by the syndicator.

  • As apart of the Pulse Racing owners community you will be able to share the enjoyments of your ownership with others. This is facilitated through social events all without charge to owners.

These come in the form of stable visits, naming functions, exclusive owners functions, barrier trials, stud tours, race day experiences with owners privileges and yearling sales events.
