ABOUT COLD BREW
After the success of Yabby Pump, a $40,000 yearling that sold out in 3-minutes and took his owners and the community by storm, The Alpha Blokes gave Mustr strict instructions for the next ABC stable member. So, we went hunting for a horse that was already firing. Not a horse you have to wait for, or one that needs to learn the ropes.
And now? We’ve found him and he’s got petrol in the tank and fire in the gut. Introducing, Cold Brew!
Cold Brew was bought as a 1-year old yearling by Richard and Will Freedman for $170,000 and in his 8 starts to date, has only been out of the top 2 once. As Cold Brew figured it all out, the gelding started his career with a string of placings at city-level. Last preparation the penny dropped quickly with Cold Brew winning his last 3 races in a row by a combined margin for over 9-lengths.
His most recent race at Rosehill was very impressive, as he sat in the most challenging part of the field but quickly put the race to bed and was eased down over the line. In his short career so far he has won $139,000 and as his breeding suggests (Pierro X Fastnet Rock), looks to have his best racing ahead of him. It’s fair to say horses like Cold Brew do not come along very often.
The plan is for Cold Brew to compete in a race at either Rosehill or Randwick and ideally win in his next few starts, ultimately targeting the Brisbane Winter Carnival. He has lots of racing ahead of him and the Freedman’s think “we are just scratching the surface of his ability”.

Mustr will work closely with relevant race clubs to accommodate as many owners as possible on each raceday. Raceday ticketing and mounting yard access is often limited and ballots will run when this is the case. Where owners are unable to be accommodated, Mustr will organise offsite events so everyone can enjoy the thrills of racing together.

The standard available share for Cold Brew costs $200 and is for 0.025% ownership. This is the minimum amount you can purchase. These figures maximise how many people can get involved at an affordable price. However, to increase the overall percentage of your ownership, you can buy as many Cold Brew shares as you like (eg. A $400 share = 0.05% ownership). There is no maximum amount.

All share percentage prize money will be paid to individual owners using the wallet function on the Mustr website. Each owner will have their own log-in details to access the website. This function is currently being developed and will launch by the time Cold Brew is racing. It is standard Racing Australia protocol that your share percentage of prize money is paid after trainer and jockey deductions.

While the Mustr owner’s portal is being developed, you will receive email updates on Cold Brew on a weekly basis. Updates will be in the form of video, voice message or images. Once the Mustr portal is up and running, these updates will be accessible in your owner’s newsfeed.

In the unfortunate event that Cold Brew’s career ends early, the proportion of estimated training and insurance costs from your share will be refunded. Cold Brew himself will be rehomed and relocated to live out his days as a happy horse at Poo Bandit’s farm.
